Oregon Coast Activities – Day 3 and/or Day 4 – Day Trips to Astoria and Newport

The Oregon coast is often broken up into 3 sections. North Oregon Coast, Central Oregon Coast & South Oregon Coast. Sandlake Country Inn is centrally located on the north/central Oregon Coast so you can unpack your bags for a few days to really explore both the North Coast & Central Coast. Many guests stay 4 or 5 days and still haven’t seen all the beauty in our area. Explore divers Oregon coast activities such as whale watching, birding, beach walking, horseback riding, fishing charters, kayaking and more!

If your style of travel is to see most things from the car, then less days may be better for you. The natural areas surrounding us really are best enjoyed by getting out of your car and exploring many areas on foot. Be sure to plan some relaxing time during your stay! Staying in and relaxing in your comfortable room is what we call “guiltless relaxation”.

The driving time from Sandlake Country Inn north to Astoria is approximately 1 hour 45 minutes, more with summer traffic.

The driving time from Sandlake Country Inn south to Newport is approximately 1 hour 15 minutes. Plan more time if traveling in the peak summer months.

It’s tempting to plan a lot of Oregon coast activities, but don’t forget to plan to relax!
